Proofreading and editing sorts out your existing content, to make it more easily readable and grammatically correct. Your actual content, idea, and wording remains mostly the same. We do NOT do proofreading on its own (where proofreading marks are inserted to show you where the text is incorrect or can be improved.) We correct or improve, and send back the edited version to you.

The proofreading, editing and rewriting work and alterations we do includes:

• hyphenation;
• correct or better word choice;
• alternate word choice to prevent repetition, or in the case of website content, to prevent over-saturation of keywords, or, to include more of the most important words, or synonyms of them;
• consistency of past, present and future tense;
• sentence and paragraph structure;
• appropriate headings;
• table or point format insertion.

Proofreading and editing price: R60 for 300 words or less, R80 for 300 to 500 words.

Rewriting automatically includes proofreading and editing too, and is when we say the same thing you did, or the same as the article you have provided us with, but use many different words and different paragraph structures or layout. Sometimes we also leave out unnecessary sentences, and sometimes add extra sentences too. We also use these rewriting techniques when you want an existing article summarised.

Rewriting price: R120 per 500 words submitted to us.
