I am Teresa Schultz of TnT web design, writing and photography services in East London, South Africa and I enjoy photography and digital art. I received my first camera at the age of 12. I'm now (January 2009) nearly 40 and know I will always love photography. For our photography service at TnT, all I use is a small 5 meg digital camera, but for now, it seems to be all I need to take the photographs I do. I display many of my photos and digital art on Redbubble - please have a look My 10 and 11 year old sons (2009) are developing an eye for photography and digital art too, and some of their work is also displayed on Redbubble . Growing up, I enjoyed photography, but it was only a few years ago that I took a greater interest after winning a small local photographic competition here in East London. It was an East London Tourism photo competition and I won a weekend away at Katberg Inn, and took many more photos there. This was with a point and shoot camera and a slr camera using film. People said I didn't need a digital camera as had an eye for detail and composition right at the time of taking a photo, but I decided to get a digital camera anyway, and am glad I did as now enjoy digital art too. A year or two after winning the weekend away at Katberg Inn, I won another photo competition in the Go! local paper in East London. This time I won an art of photography course with well known local photographer Marlene Neumann. This is a fantastic course and it helped me add to what I had already recently learnt from pouring over photographic books, magazines and manuals. The 2008/2009 Focus On Buffalo City glossy corporate publication contains an image of Bonza Bay that I took a few years ago. I encourage everyone interested in photography to keep it up, and those that aren't interested I encourage to give it a try - a whole new interesting world will open up to you. You will notice things you never did before. Teresa Schultz written January 2009 Update October 2009: The East London Tourism photography competition I mention further above, was held again this year. I was really pleased to win again! It was the Tourism Buffalo City photography competition held in October 2009. My winning photo and the story of the experience. Tweet This website, and contents, © TnT Unleashed 2010 |
